Wilne Church
October 23rd
| Members Martin Report The night was miserable and wet at the start which made it more amazing that all ten of us braved the bad weather to spend the night in an isolated grave Yard. I had visited the church in the daylight but at night the atmosphere totally changed. There must be something in the tale of nobody dare walk the lane alone because although some of us tried the walk it was always in pairs. The atmosphere was oppressive and while walking with Mick we kept seeing moving lights above the tree line moving right to left continuously. In the church yard Jayne heard whispering at the far side of the church from the entrance and in the trees among the grave stones she felt someone breathe in her ear twice. She took a good picture which shows a strange mist. Later Jayne sensed someone stood at a tree to the right side of the church and saw someone solid walk past the tree and discovered that others had experienced the same thing. Martin placed a recorder near a side door of the Church and got an amazing evp of knocking on the door. The evp is in the forum evp board. Pam envisioned a man in uniform on the battlements wearing a metal helmet with chain mail armour. During the night I also sensed someone on the battlements. man in uniform on the battlements wearing a metal helmet with chain mail armour. During the night I also sensed someone on the battlements. Simon walked the lane with Paula and they felt fine until Simon heard twigs snapping at the side of the lane. In the church yard Simon was looking up at the battlements when he felt something brush the back of his head. It is hard to explain this one as I was close to him at the time and I saw nothing natural which could have caused it. Devi took a picture that showed a mist although there was none visible to the eye. As she sat at the church door looking over the churchyard she saw a figure move in the same area that that has been mentioned earlier. She heard children’s whispering in the top left hand corner as you face away from the main gate and she also went in to the trees with Andy to see if she could see the shape she had seen earlier and they both saw eyes or two low lights facing them. When they switched the torch on it was gone. In the same area she heard someone laugh next to her which made her jump and leave the area. The temperature dropped from 12c to 8c at the same time. Twice she had a strange feeling someone was watching her when she walked up the lane. In the grave yard with Andy she felt an overwhelming sadness come over her and started to cry. So much happened on this investigation that we will have to go back again. Most of us have stated that the whole site was oppressive and made us feel that we were definatly not alone. I suggest that in order to get a true feel for this investigation you read the individual reports in the forum and take a look in the gallery at the pictures taken.
