We are still working on the history of the seven stars and if anybody has any information they could give us it would be appreciated. So far we have found it listed in a directory dated 1832. We know it was used during World War 2 probably by servicemen as the house next door was obliterated by a bomb killing the billeted men staying there, which suggests that it was either used as a billet in the private area and most probably have been used by the servicemen for entertainment.

At the start of the investigation static video cameras were set up in different locations around the building.

Mobile night vision video camera which accessed all areas.

All these video cameras were linked to a central hub in the lounge where they could be viewed on remote screens and were recorded to tape.Base reading were taken with emf meters.

Evp’s were set up around the building.

The mediums reported very early on that there was definite activity in the building and in some areas so much from possibly different time scales that it was difficult to separate one from another.

The lounge and Bar

Although it had been reported an apparition had been seen near the cigarette machine in the bar on this occasion we were unable to find anything. The mediums, emf and the video cameras were not fortunate enough to record anything.

In the lounge it soon became obvious there was something happening near the fireplace in the bay window area. A sensitive immediately felt they were being watched from the area as soon as they entered the room. Pam and Jayne felt there was someone who would sit in the area. They found it to be a pleasant feeling and not at all threatening. Elkray said he felt uneasy in the lounge and felt drawn to the bay window like a magnet. We could not take any emf readings due to the power cables in the immediate area. As a footnote we were told later that customers had commented on the area before.

The Cellar and Toilets

There where reports of activity in the toilet areas from members of staff.

We set up a glass test object which we drew around placed in the area felt to be most active. No activity was recorded but it merits a revisit due to the strong feelings from members of staff.

No activity recorded in the cellar.

Living Quarters

On the stairs Jayne felt a male presence and felt it might have been an ex owner who walks the area. In the living quarters upstairs Jayne felt as if a lot of different times had been mixed up into one and it was hard to separate them. Personally I felt very uncomfortable there and found myself continually looking over my shoulder expecting to find someone there. In the long corridor a mirror had been left leaning against a wall and although we all saw it in the dark conditions a number of us tripped over it and where convinced it had moved.

In one of the front bedrooms (no.1) the mediums saw an old lady staring out the window wearing old stile clothes with her hair in a bun. It was felt that she was no threat and they had a feeling that the area may have been used as some sort of brothel and she was the madam. One of our members felt the right side of his head pressed for a number of minuets in this area that disappeared as he left the room.

Bedroom no.2 had a different feeling that placed it in the area of world war two. It was felt it was used as a meeting place but not for drinking, more for people with a specific purpose. Pam asked if anybody was there and immediately Pam with Jayne saw some lights in the corner of the room. Later we all saw some sparkly lights moving about the room some of which moved towards Pam. The sensitive got so strong a feeling he said he was absolutely positive it was a very friendly dog and that its presence was so strong he felt you could almost stroke it. In the same room the presence of an armed forces man was felt and visualised but we could not place his uniform but felt it might be that of a foreign pilot. Pam also felt the presence of a lady about this room.
The E.M.F. Meter found an area in the room about half a meter square that gave off a high reading . The area was in middle of the room and seemed to float as no reading could be got from above or below it.
At one point while investigating this room Pam while sitting down experienced a cold spot which surrounded her whole body and was verified by other members of the team.

The function Room

Devi was in the room on her own when we all heard a loud bang from the area. (Brave lady). On investigation we were unable to find where the noise had come from but it brought us all together from our solo investigations to spend time investigating this room and would later make it the room chosen for a table tipping and candle experiment. We had three test objects on the stage which we had drawn around. On investigation the cross had moved very slightly and the pentagon had very clearly moved across the paper.

This room was very active and a medium discerned that a small child plays on the stage and felt she must have been noticed before. While sitting on the stage one of the mediums felt a spirit walk all the way around her but was unable to ascertain who it was other than that it was a male adult. The sensitive felt a presence in the curtain area of the stage and it was later confirmed as Elkray saw the curtain move in the same area. A pendulum crystal used in the same area pulled towards the area and visibly jerked towards the curtain when used by Terry and a slight tug towards the curtain when used by Jayne.

Table Tipping and glass moving

Around the table were Pam, Jayne, Martin, Elkray, Dona and Devi.

Pam did the protections and asked the spirits to come forward.

A considerable time was spent on this and it was noted that the table did move very slightly on two occasions.

Elkray reported a strong pain across his shoulders and Martin a pain in his arm during this experiment.

The Candle

Donna and Devi asked most of the questions asking that the candle flame move if questions we asked were correct. This event was filmed as were the others.

This was the most impressive evidence we had all night with all of the team witnessing the candle move in response to the questions asked. We found we were communicating with the child in the room as at one point while I was still occupied with the spirit near the curtain a medium said that the energy picked up there was residual (like a tape recorder replaying) . So without thinking I said so I suppose we should be trying to talk to the child on the stage. At that point the candle flame went crazy and repeated questions from other people confirmed the response we received.

The ghosts of Nottingham would like to thank David and his staff for letting us have unrestricted access to all areas of the site and for joining in with our investigation. We have been invited back at a future date and look forward to an opportunity to continue our investigations.
